Fiberglass Soundproofing
This composite is made of materials meeting Coast Guard materials standards 164.009 and 164.012 as may be required in larger Coast Guard inspected vessels (ships). We also have a Lead/Fiberglass sandwich with reinforced vapor barrier facing, using rigid fiberglass hullboard. The _x_ designation gives the composite thickness, in inches, and the weight of the lead foil, in lb/ft², respectively. Thus C.G.F.G., 2 x 1, is a 2 inch thick composite with a 1 !b/ft² lead foil. The composite thickness and lead weight can be tailored to the specific acoustic requirements of each application.
