Mass Loaded BARRIER COMPOSITE MATERIALS use an array of base materials to achieve specific results, and are the best materials for lining boat motor rooms, generator compartment enclosure sound proofing and other noisy spaces. These materials absorb reflecting noise within machinery space while creating an effective barrier against sound transmission through walls, panels and boat bulkheads. In some cases Barrier Composites are not required and provides ACOUSTIC ABSORBERS from a similar array of base materials. These Acoustic Absorption Composites are lighter, and are manufactured from the same basic materials as the other composites.

Guide: When selecting our engine soundproofing vinyl/foam, select 2 lb/sq ft. 2” for diesel motors, should you not have the clearance use ½” 2 lb/sq ft. For gas motors, use 1” or 1-1/2” 1 lb/sq ft. Q. How many pin sets do I order? A. One pound per sq ft. vinyl/foam a minimum of 20 pin sets, a 2 lb per sq ft. vinyl/foam a minimum of 25-30 pin sets.
