The Quick Genius 600 Windlass + Free fall
Quick Genius 600 windlass offers exceptional pulling power for its size. It features low power consumption, high speed retrieval and it is lightweight (nearly 45% lighter than any other windlass with equivalent maximum work load). The epicyclical gearbox provides 40% greater efficiency than comparable windlasses. Everything needed for installation, except the wire, is included in the box (up/down toggle switch, dual direction solenoid, circuit breaker, clutch handle, stainless steel mounting hardware and gasket. Rugged, high-strength, all-aluminum anodized housing will not corrode, peel, pit or loose its luster. Three year Warranty. Use H-T Chain only.
The Quick Genius Free Fall are the continuances of the Quick Genius models, and this on deck
windlasses are equipped with all the advantages of such models from the fast and
easy on-deck installation to the maximum efficiency provided by the epicyclical
gearbox. Apart from this highly appreciated quality, the new models FF
further offers an important characteristic, the automatic Free-Fall of chain.
The Quick Genius Free-Fall technology applied to the windlass allows free running of
chain through the gypsy when lowering the anchor; simply by depressing the down
control button the windlass will release its clutch and the gypsy will
freewheel. To stop the Free-Fall depress the up control button on the windlass;
the clutch will engage stopping the gypsy and allowing retrieval of the chain.
The Free-Fall function can be bypassed to facilitate power-controlled release.
